Send an RCS event

Endpoint for sending an event to a recipient. Events are not messages: they are not stored, billed, or returned by GET /rcs, and no webhooks are sent for them.

Two event types are supported:

  • SEEN: Marks an inbound message as seen, which shows a read receipt to the recipient. The message_id field is required and must be the message_id of an inbound message received through a Message Origination webhook.
  • TYPING_INDICATOR: Shows the recipient a typing indicator from the sender. Only use this event if you intend to send another message to the recipient. The message_id field is ignored.
